Rotary Dial Index

Rotary Dial Index Machines were probably the earliest metal cutting machines to use a progressive machining process to satisfy mass production requirements.

MAG Powertrain Rotary Dial Index Machines process small to medium size parts, including steering system components, intake and exhaust manifolds, appliance parts, valve bodies and housings, and many others. Production rates can vary from 50 to 250 parts per hour, depending on work content.

Two or more work fixtures are mounted at equal intervals on a round table which is indexed in a rotary motion, one station at a time, to present the fixtures in sequence to the machining equipment. Parts are manually or automatically loaded and unloaded in the area of the operator's position.
