Interchangeable head borer, also available with automatic storage magazine for bore heads. The ORBITER series is available in two different sizes.
Bore head exchange process
Phase 1
The processing unit swivels the tool head to be replaced (old) onto the support, then swivels the new tool head in the direction of operation. The support on which the tool head currently not being used is stored remains in place, that is, it does not swivel.
Phase 2
The processing unit moves to the rear and docks with the empty support on the tool head to be changed.
Phase 3
The processing unit swivels the tool head to be replaced (old) onto the support, then swivels the new tool head in the direction of operation. The support on which the tool head currently not being used is stored remains in place, that is, it does not swivel.
Phase 4
The bore head changer with the new tool head moves forward, leaving the previous tool head on the support. The next processing step can now be carried out.
