Cutting costs is a constant theme that runs through all businesses, whatever sector they are in. And it makes some businesses come up with a very interesting idea, like omitting something. One hole less, and already that saves time and money. But first you have to think of the idea. Our customers like it when quality and price of their products add up.
When costs are cut, it doesn´t mean that quality has to suffer. And that´s just what appears a good idea fall down. With STARline, we are giving everyone who machines parts an innovative new solution: both a system that comes in well below the usual investment cost and the renowned Cross Hüller quality. So that cutting costs always makes your customers happy. STARline is big in every respect: in the range of materials, parts and across industries. That also applies to the requested accuracies and tolerances. The only thing that is small is the price. The process costs are what ultimately makes the controller´s eyes light up. Cross Hüller has simply transferred the virtues of products and processes that are already successful on the market over to STARline.

One example:

A cylinder crank case, that was fully machined on a traditional Agile System, meets the high requirements that are nowadays par for the course. The material is aluminium, the machining time is 30 minutes. The customer is just as satisfied as the supplier, a well-known player in the global automotive industry. The only hiccup in this otherwise harmonious customer/supplier relationship are the costs. The customer announced an imminent cut in prices, with the same level of quality, of course.

However, if this cylinder crankcase is machined under the same conditions on an Agile System from the STARline program, price cuts are no longer an issue. Thanks to STARline, the crankcase can be produced at a lower cost. No restrictions with regards to the range of parts, necessary accuracies, and tolerances. Our excellent processes can easily be transferred to the new STARline.
